My Hair Care Routine

Hi Friends,

I have been posting on my Instagram stories now and then about my hair care routine (you can follow my Instagram here) and thought I would expand a bit more about it right here.

If you have explored my website here and learned some about me then you know that I have had trouble with my Eczema for years, and have finally now gotten to a point of wellness that I never thought possible. Thanks to eliminating so many toxins from my home, diet and personal care products, I can know function as someone with *almost* normal skin.

For my shampoo and conditioner I am currently using baking soda and Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV). Does that sound crazy or what! I have been happily using this routine for about 5 years now, and really like it. For one, it is super cost effective, and easy. Because of the Alkaline and Acidity opposites of the baking soda and ACV, they work together to clean and condition my hair and scalp. Seems crazy right? But it works!

In addition to using the baking soda and ACV, I have made a concoction of what I like to call “Hair Treatment”. This concoction has a few of Young Living’s best essential oils for skin and hair, castor seed oil, alcohol free witch hazel, and water. You can find the recipe I use here.

The results of this hair treatment so far have been really softening for my hair and helped with my dry skin on my scalp (due to eczema). I am loving the way my hair feels, and may be strengthening as well as growing more!

I am so thankful for natural ways that I can care for every aspect of my body, while increasing wellness!

Thanks for spending a few minutes of your day with me today!

~Katie
