Savvy Minerals by Young Living came out with their reformulated and improved mascara this June. Let me tell you a bit about why I love it.
First of all, look at these ingredients:
Water, Glycerin, Hydroxystearic/Linolenic/Oleic polyglycerides, Beeswax, Euphorbia cerifera(Candelilla) wax, Cetearyl alcohol, Pullulan, Hydrolyzed jojoba esters, Stearic acid, Polyglyceryl-10 pentaisostearate, Polyglyceryl-6 polyricinoleate, Arachidyl alcohol, Oryza sativa(Rice) bran wax, Glyceryl caprylate, Silica, Behenyl alcohol, Copernicia cerifera(Carnauba) wax, Leuconostoc/Radish root ferment filtrate, Sodium citrate, Cellulose, Arachidyl glucoside, Lactobacillus, Xanthan gum,Glyceryl undecylenate, Citric acid, Cocos nucifera(Coconut) fruit extract, Sodium hydroxide, Lavandula angustifolia(Lavender) oil
Now go and compare them to the mascara you are currently using, and see which has more words you can’t pronounce!
I also challenge you to go here and look up the ratings of all of those ingredients.
This mascara is also:
- Formulated without parabens, phthalates, petrochemicals, bismuth, talc, dyes, synthetic colorants, or synthetic fragrances
- Not tested on animals
- Clinically tested for ocular irritation; safe to use on sensitive eyes
If you noticed the lavender essential oil infused in the mascara, you might wonder what it’s for. Lavender actually promotes lash growth and health! Yes. I have been using this mascara for almost a month now and have totally noticed a difference in the look and length of my lashes.
Okay, so another thing about this mascara is that it doesn’t bother my eyes/skin! I used to break out in a rash and have terribly watering eyes anytime I wore mainstream mascara. Needless to say, I think this is some of the better stuff out there!
